Tesla has announced that it has surpassed the milestone of 30,000 Superchargers worldwide. The American firm accelerated their implementation at the end of the year.
As it prepares to massively open its superchargers to other automakers, Tesla is accelerating its deployments. On Twitter, the brand announced that it had reached the milestone of 30,000 Superchargers worldwide. A figure that continues to evolve.
To become aware of the pace of implementation, it is necessary to return to the figures communicated by the brand in September. At that time, Tesla had just under 29,300 superchargers installed. That’s more than 700 openings in just over a month. The rate continues to exceed 2,000 new charging stations per quarter.
In September, Tesla counted more than 3,200 stations, which have an average of nine stations each. These include V2 Superchargers and V3 charging stations. The former reach a charging power of 150 kW, while the latter go up to 250 kW. The goal for Tesla is to quickly launch V4s that could reach 280 kW, then 300 kW in the future.
